The making of a new subcategory of Physical AI: Advanced Industrial Machines.

Across these notes, three intelligences have run the factory: the code that executes, the operator who perceives, and the engineer who reasons. Entrons builds the machine that carries something of all three.
Physical AI is usually told as a story of new bodies: robots, manipulators, and humanoids that act on the world from outside the machine. Advanced Industrial Machines is the inverse. Intelligence does not arrive on a robot from outside the industrial asset; it is embedded inside the machines that already run. The machine itself becomes the system that perceives and reasons.
It begins with Artificial Senses. The operator and the engineer read a process through signals the control system never records: the sound of a machine running dry, the drift in a force, the way a film catches the light. Artificial Senses are the machine representation of exactly those perceptions, the ones a process turns on, set as a layer of sensing below the control layer where the process actually shows itself.
On top of them sits the Tacit Twin. It is not a model of the machine's geometry but a mirror of its practice: the tacit process knowledge that tells an experienced person what a signal means, which deviation matters, and when a process is leaving safe ground. The Tacit Twin learns to read the senses the way experience does.
Underneath the judgement lies reasoning, and reasoning needs ground to stand on. That ground is Industrial Expertise: process physics, material behaviour, and the long record of how these machines fail and recover. It is what carries the system from noticing that something is wrong, to reading why, to proposing what to change. This is where the engineer's intelligence enters the machine.
We build this for the machines already on the floor, for the engineering concepts being designed today, and for the machine generations still to come. The largest robot fleet in the world is already installed. This is how it learns to perceive, to judge, and to reason about its own work.
